About the clinic:
The Pediatrics Clinic at the Heart and Brain Center of Clinical Excellence in Pleven has a modern material and technical base and provides diagnostics and treatment of a wide range of diseases. The medical team offers specialized care services to children from 0 to 18 years of age with acute and chronic diseases. There are 14 intensive care beds for children and 21 beds in the general ward.

The clinic employs physicians with extensive clinical experience in both outpatient pediatrics and inpatient care, including pediatric emergencies. The pediatric team also include specialists in neonatology, anaesthesiology and resuscitation, paediatric rheumocardiology, paediatric pulmonology and paediatric nephrology. The highly qualified staff provides timely and competent diagnostic and therapeutic work in accordance with standards of good clinical practice.

Activities:
The Pediatrics Clinic operates under contract with the NHIF and children are admitted, diagnosed and treated on clinical pathways covering all diseases of the neonatal period, acute and chronic diseases of the respiratory system, acute infectious diseases, rheumocardiological diseases, diseases of the nervous system, diseases of the urinary system, and conditions requiring intensive care and resuscitation.

The clinic works in close collaboration with the clinical, microbiological, immunological and genetic laboratories, the Imaging Department, the Clinic of Nervous Diseases, the Clinic of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, the Surgery Clinic, etc.
