Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yana Simova to the Bulgarian National Radio: Prevention is the best treatment for heart failure

After being infected with COVID-19, 40% of the patients have irreversible damage to the heart muscle. That is why the Heart and Brain Center of Excellence in Pleven will participate in the national free screening campaign with indeterminate duration called “Life after COVID” with the following objectives: identification of the effects of the infection on the cardiovascular system, diagnosis, treatment, long-term follow-up and adequate actions to improve quality of life.
