Ekaterina Aleksieva, MD graduated from Medical University “Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov in 2013. Since 2014 she has been working and specializing in Neurology in Germany, where in 2022 she acquired a specialty in Nervous Diseases in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse, Rheinland- Pfalz. Dr. Alexieva practices in a large regional neurological clinic with a certified Stroke Unit performing fibrinolytic therapy and endovascular recanalizations of cerebral vessels for the treatment of acute stroke, in a sector of Intensive Neurology, a specialized center for Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular and Rare Neurological Diseases, and Telemedicine. He also gained clinical experience in the Neurorehabilitation Clinic as well as the Psychiatric Diseases Clinic. She has conducted courses in electroencephalography, electroneuro- and myography, and Doppler sonography.

She is fluent in English and German.

Since October 2023 Dr. Alexieva is part of the team of the Clinic of Nervous Diseases at the Heart and Brain Hospital Burgas.
