Veselin Stoitsov, MD graduated from the Medical University in Plovdiv. After graduation he started working as a resident doctor in the second internal medicine department at the hospital “Dr. Kiro Popov”, Karlovo, and during this period he also specialized in internal medicine at the Medical Academy in Sofia (2008 – 2012).

After winning a competition, he started working as a clinical resident at the Clinic of Gastroenterology at the Military Medical Academy, Sofia, under the supervision of prof. She was a professor at the Department of Gastroenterology, Medical University of Gastroenterology, in the post of Professor Krum Katsarov. He acquired a specialty in gastroenterology and hepatology. From 2012 to 2020 he was a consultant endoscopist at the Military Hospital in Sofia. Plovdiv and worked as a gastroenterologist in the department of internal medicine and gastroenterology at the St. He was a consultant in Gastroenterology and Gastroenterology at the University of Plovdiv, Plovdiv. From 2020 to 2021, he is in charge of the gastroenterology sector at the first internal medicine department of the Pazardzhik Hospital.

He has a high level of expertise in upper and lower diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, conventional and interventional (biopsy and drainage under ultrasound control) abdominal ultrasonography . He has undergone trainings in VMA Sofia, University Hospital “Kaspela”, Sofia. Plovdiv, Tokuda Hospital Sofia, Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine – Prague, Czech Republic.

In January 2022, Dr. Stoitsov joined the team of the Heart and Brain Center of Excellence in Burgas.
