Dr. Velyan Mihaylov is a specialist in general surgery with extensive experience in abdominal and laparoscopic surgery. He graduated from the Medical University of Sofia and the University of Vienna, where he earned a Master’s degree in Medicine. His professional career is closely associated with “Pirogov” hospital, where he has been part of the team at the Second Surgical Clinic for over 15 years and later developed his expertise in wound care at a specialized center within Pirogov.

He has specialized in laparoscopic surgery in Germany, Austria, and Bulgaria, enabling him to apply modern minimally invasive methods for diagnosis and treatment, combining precision, innovative thinking, and a personalized approach for each patient.

Dr. Mihaylov is a member of the Bulgarian Medical Association and the Bulgarian Society for Wound Care. He is fluent in English and German, which allows him to maintain active professional contacts and exchange experience with leading specialists across Europe.
