Petyo Bratoev, MDorthopaedic trauma surgeon

Petyo Ivanov Bratoev, MD has completed his higher medical education at the University of Medical Sciences – Lublin, Poland and the University of Medical Sciences ин Plovdiv. Dr. Bratoev is a student of one of the leading Bulgarian orthopedics prof. Rosen Ivanov. He has 35 years of experience in orthopaedics and traumatology. He has held senior positions in public and private medical structures, including Head of the Orthopaedic Clinic – MF at the Thracian University, Stara Zagora (2001-2008).

In 2022 he was elected as President of the Bulgarian Association for Arthroscopy and Sports Traumatology (BAAST).

His professional qualification is focused in the field of primary and severe revision arthroplasty of the knee, hip and shoulder joints, including implantation of individually planned and manufactured prosthetic instrumentation and implants, endoscopic surgery, including restorative and plastic interventions of soft tissue structures and articular cartilage of the knee, shoulder and ankle joints, as well as joint-sparing surgical interventions.

He has acquired specializations and qualifications in hospitals and universities, and participated in scientific forums in the USA, Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, Canada, Slovenia, Spain, Italy, Lebanon, Croatia. Repeated winner in the “The doctors we trust” and “Doctor of the Year”. Since January 2022 Dr. Bratoev is Head of the Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinic at the Heart and Brain Center of Excellence in Burgas.
