Miroslav Zashev, MD is a specialist in surgery with over 10 years of experience. He has worked in the Surgery Clinic of the University Hospital “Lozenets”, Sofia. He is an assistant professor of surgery at the Medical Faculty of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.
His professional qualification is in the field of conventional and minimally invasive surgery. He has professional experience in performing laparoscopic cholecystectomy, appendectomy, laparoscopic operations for hernias of the anterior abdominal wall, inguinal hernias, diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant diseases of the colon, liver and pancreas. In 2018, she obtained a Master’s degree in Public Health and Health Management, and in 2020, she obtained a Doctor of Education and Science degree with a dissertation entitled “The use of cold atmospheric plasma in the treatment of chronic wounds” .
Dr. Zashev has undergone specialized theoretical and practical training in leading surgical clinics in Germany, France, Italy, Greece, Slovenia, Serbia. He has participated in a number of publications in specialized surgical journals at home and abroad, as well as participation in scientific forums. He is a member of the Bulgarian Medical Association, the Bulgarian Surgical Society, the European Hernia Society and the European Association for endoscopic surgery.
