Assoc. Prof. Boyko Stamenov graduated from the Medical University of Sofia in 1985. From 1986 to 2004 he specialized in neurol-ogy and worked as a head assistant at First Neurology Clinic at Aleksandrovksa University Hospital in Sofia. During this period and after that he was head of the Laboratory for Experimental Neurology. From 2004 he has been an associate professor at the Neurology and Neurosurgery Department at the Medical University in Pleven. A long-standing head of the department and head of the Neurology clin-ic with a department for occupational diseases at Dr. Georgi Stranski University Hospital in Pleven. Since 2014 he has been teaching at the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department at the National Sports Academy “Vasil Levski” in Sofia. He is an expert for accreditation of health establishments at the Ministry of Health and expert at the National Health Insurance Fund. Neurology consultant at the Emergency Center in Pleven from 2004. Member of the Committee for the National Residency Test for Neurology to the Ministry of Health from 2006. Member of national and international professional or-ganizations and member of the editorial team of different Bulgarian scientific medical magazines. Long-standing member of the specialized scientific board of neurology and psychiatrics of the Higher Attestation Commission. Assoc. Prof. Stamenov is a wide-profile clinician neurologist. He works highly specialized activities and in interdisciplinary fields of neurology. He has master’s degrees in law and health management.
Assoc. Prof. Stamenov is an author and co-author of monographs, textbooks and multiple articles in Bulgaria and abroad.
