Lenko Minkov obtained a bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology in 2004 and a master’s degree in Virology in 2006 from Sofia University.

He has extensive laboratory experience in clinical analyses in microbiology, virology, immunology, and clinical biochemistry (incl. in PCR- and ELISA-based methods).  He has 13 years of experience in the field of the In Vitro reproductive medicine as a biologist-embryologist (incl. semen analysis, classical and ICSI fertilization, embryo cultivation and selection for embryo transfer, cryopreservation and thawing procedures).

He is part of the Laboratory for medical genetics team at the Heart and Brain Hospital in Pleven since 2024.
