Emergency air rescue: Medical helicopter transports 4-year-old child to ‘Mama and I’ Pleven

Quick response and perfect coordination saved precious time for a 4-year-old patient today. Shortly after noon, a medical helicopter landed on the specialized helipad of the Heart and Brain Hospital to transfer the child to the care of leading specialists from the Mama and I Clinic.

After the case was admitted to the hospital in Vratsa, local doctors immediately sought assistance from their colleagues in Pleven. The transport arrangements took only a few minutes. Upon arrival in Pleven, the child was taken over by a team of resuscitators and pediatricians. At the moment, the young patient is under round-the-clock observation by a multidisciplinary team.
