Tsvetomir Ivanov, MD graduated from MU-Pleven in 2014. He wrote a thesis related to minimally invasive surgery in the treatment of colorectal cancer, and in 2019 he defended his PhD degree prof. Т. Delijski and prof. D. Dimitrov as his scientific supervisor. Dr. Tsvetomir Ivanov’s professional interests are related to new developments in the surgical treatment of colorectal carcinoma, breast carcinoma, modern methods of lymph node marking. With his different specializations in China, France, Slovenia, the Netherlands, he was part of the team that introduced a number of innovative techniques in the field of surgical oncology, including robot-assisted surgery for rectal cancer (2014). In 2020, together with the vascular surgeons of the Heart and Brain hospital, he participated in the first surgery in Bulgaria for the prevention of upper limb oedema after lymph node dissection (removal of a lymph node) for carcinoma of the mammary gland.
