Polina Damyanova Dimitrova, MD is the Head of the Department of General and Clinical Pathology. She graduated with honors in medicine in 2013 from Medical University – Pleven. Since 2018 she is a specialist in General and Clinical Pathology.

She has developed a dissertation on “Morphological and immunohistochemical aspects of the antitumor immune response in different subtypes of breast carcinoma”, and in 2022 he obtained the scientific and educational degree of Doctor.

Dr. Damyanova is a lecturer in Patoanatomy to medical and pharmacy students in Bulgarian. She has co-authored scientific publications in journals at home and abroad. She has participated in a number of national and international congresses, conferences, courses and projects.

Main areas of practical and scientific interests include: immunopathology, breast pathology, molecular pathology, personalized medicine, application of immunohistochemical and in situ hybridization method of research.
