Maria Petrishka, MD is a neurologist with over 16 years of medical experience. She diagnoses and treats patients with diseases of the central, peripheral and autonomic nervous system.
Dr. Petrishka has worked at the Clinic of Functional Diagnosis of the Nervous System at the Military Medical Academy Sofia, where she was a member of the committees for diabetic polyneuropathy treatment, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis and epilepsy.
She performes EMG studies which include testing for polyneuropathy, root damage in disc disease, tremorgram, neuromuscular transmission disorder (myasthenic reaction), needle electromyography, and Doppler sonography of cerebral vessels.
She is a member of the Bulgarian Association of Neurosonology and Cerebral Hemodynamics, the Association of Clinical Electromyography and Evoked Potentials. She participates in numerous national congresses and seminars in the specialty.
