Georgi Stefanov, MD graduated from the Medical University in Varna in 1984. He specialized in surgery (1994) and vascular surgery (1997). From 1990 to 2011 he was a senior assistant in the vascular surgery clinics at the St. She was the head of the vascular department at St. Anna’s Hospital and St. John’s Hospital in Sofia. She was a member of the Vascular Institute of the University of Varna and the University of Varna. He obtained a certificate in health management in 2015.
His interests and skills are in the field of aortic aneurysms, carotid surgery, peripheral arterial reconstruction in full volume, mesenteric thromboses, surgical treatment of venous diseases, wounds and diabetic foot.
He has participated in dozens of cardiovascular surgery and angiology conferences nationally and internationally. He is part of the examination committees of undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD students, co-author of textbooks and monographs, lecturer for postgraduate training of doctors and nurses.
Dr. Stefanov has participated in international conferences in Romania, Scotland, Serbia, Czech Republic and USA. He has more than 40 publications in Bulgarian and foreign journals. He is a member of BNDHA, ESVS, International College of Angiology. He won the Doctor of the Year award in 2018.
