Georgi Ivanov, MD graduated in medicine in 2010 and in 2018 he obtained a specialization in Pediatric Surgery. In 2013, he defended his dissertation on “Contemporary Approach to the Diagnosis and Surgical Treatment of Liver Echinococcosis in Children and Adults,” for which he was awarded the educational and scientific degree of Doctor of Medicine.
From 2018 to 2021, Dr. Ivanov held the position of Senior Assistant at the Department of General and Operative Surgery at the University Hospital “St. Marina” in Varna, where he actively participated in the educational and research process.
He successfully completed a number of additional qualifications and training courses: a course in liver surgery (2011), Trakya University; “Conventional and Intraoperative Echography in Surgery,” Medical University “Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov” – Varna (2011), a course in general pediatric surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School (2015), a course in pediatric surgery, Universitätsklinikum Frankfurt, Germany (2024), and a specialization in pediatric surgery, Weill Cornell University Hospital, New York, USA (2025).
