in regards of the patients

We conduct randomized scientific trials based on innovative technologies for the prevention and treatment of diseases like coronary artery disease, acute coronary syndrome, atrial fibrillation, heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia, electrical cardioversion in non-valvular atrial fibrillation, myocardial infarction, pulmonary embolism, chronic heart failure, triglyceridemia in diabetes.

We run the prevention, diagnostic and treatment of diseases, guided by the evaluation of patient-specific genomic biomarkers. Genetic information plays a major role in several aspects of personalized medicine (pharmacogenomics).

The personalized medicine concept can be applied to the innovative and transformative approaches in healthcare. Personalized healthcare is based on biological systems’ dynamics and uses predictable tools for the evaluation of health prevention and personalized health programs to help patients in terms of  risk reduction, disease prevention and precise treatment.

The research activities are focused on the prevention, diagnostic and treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases – minimally invasive operations of heart valves, surgery and treatment of heart tumors, valve sparing surgical procedures, endovascular implantation of heart valves, intra operative imaging for the navigation of surgical procedures for brain tumors treatment, interventional treatment of cardiovascular diseases etc.

Healthcare research is conducted in collaboration with the Medical University of Pleven and includes the development of innovative solutions for patients’ healthcare improvement during and after the hospital stay.

The programs include health services at home, telemetric monitoring and patients’ long-term result improvement evaluation tools .

The scientific research focuses on the comparative analysis of alternative healthcare technologies, therapeutic efficacy and safety in cardiovascular, cerebrovascular and oncologic diseases treatment.

The research is performed in collaboration with the National Center for Public Healthcare and Analysis and the Commission for Health Technologies Evaluation.
