Designed, built and developed with the most advanced medical expertise – without a single penny of state investment and without support from donation campaigns, ‘Mama and I’ is the first maternity and children clinic since over 55 years and opened its doors on 1 June this year. In less than six months, it has proven its vital social function in the fight against infant mortality and disability of children and adolescents – over 130 babies are born already, dozens of lives have been saved, long-term care for premature babies and children with severe chronic and genetic diseases. With knowledge, skill and full dedication to the cause, we are responding to the acute need for quality, state-of-the-art pediatric treatment, and our specialists are actually treating the worst cases.

More and more high-risk pregnant women from home and abroad choose the ‘Mama and I’ clinic for its maximum availability of equipment, facilities and staff. We have the only specially equipped neonatology ambulance in the region. Our specialists carry out primary and prolonged resuscitation, as well as intensive care of premature babies. The knowledge and skills of the doctors in the medical genetics laboratory are available to families. Along with lifesaving care, the doctors at ‘Mama and Me’ follow their little patients long-term. With a desire to expand the clinic’s activities and help even more children, the paediatricians have launched a donation campaign. The first to respond to the appeal of the specialists was the long-standing mayor of Burgas, Dimitar Nikolov, and the newly elected mayor of Pleven, Dr. Valentin Hristov.
