Metodi Dzhudzhev, MD graduated from the Medical University of Plovdiv in 2014 and specialized in surgery at the University Emergency Hospital “N. I. Pirogov.” He obtained his specialty in surgery in 2020 and subsequently led a team at the First Surgical Clinic of “Pirogov,” where he was engaged in the diagnosis and treatment of elective and emergency surgical conditions.
He continued his professional career at Vita Hospital in Sofia, in the Clinic of General, Visceral, and Laparoscopic Surgery, focusing on bariatric surgery, abdominal wall and diaphragmatic hernias, and operations on the upper gastrointestinal tract.
Since August 2025, Dr. Dzhudzhev has been part of the Department of Surgery at “Heart and Brain” Hospital – Burgas.
Dr. Dzhudzhev has extensive experience in abdominal surgery and a strong professional interest in minimally invasive techniques. He has completed numerous specialized courses and trainings in laparoscopic and robotic surgery. He was also a visiting observer at the University of Colorado, Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion (Denver), in the Department of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery.
He is a member of the Bulgarian Surgical Society and the Bulgarian Medical Association.
