Vanya Aleksandrova obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” in 2010. In 2012, she completed her Master’s degree in Industrial Biotechnology. During her studies, she was part of Associate Professor Dimov’s team in the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering at the Faculty of Biology at Sofia University.

Her professional career began as a researcher in the Genetics Laboratory of “LB Bulgaricum” EAD. In 2013, she shifted her focus to medical research in the fields of virology and immunology.

Since 2024 she is part of the Laboratory for medical genetics team at the Heart and Brain Hospital in Pleven.
