Natalia Kitova, MD has been head of the Clinical laboratory at the Heart and Brain Hospital in Pleven since September 2017, she is also head of the Clinical laboratory at the Pleven Cardiology Medical Center. She graduated at the Medical University of Pleven in 2002 and started her professional career as Chief inspector in the anti-epidemiological control department and consultant at the Cabinet for anonymous and free HIV/AIDS counseling and research at the Regional Inspectorate for Preservation and Control of Public Health – Pleven. She worked as a doctor in the Clinical laboratory in the St. Pantaleimon hospital in Pleven between 2012 and 2016. She became part of the Cardiology hospital in Pleven as head of the Clinical Laboratory. She started her specialization in Clinical Virology in April 2020. She acquired a specialty in Epidemiology of infectious diseases, Clinical laboratory and a Master’s degree in Health Management and continued her professional development in the field of coagulation.
Dr Kitova is actively participating in numerous symposia and training seminars; she holds certificates to the field of Epidemiological surveillance and control of current diseases, influenza and acute respiratory diseases, pandemic influenza preparedness, vaccines and immunizations. She is member of the Bulgarian Medical Union, the Bulgarian society of clinical laboratory and several scientific organizations. She has obtained numerous certificates from National Conferences. She is constantly increasing her professional qualification by participating in courses, workshops, colleges and symposia.
