The Bulgarian Cardiac Institute, in collaboration with the pharmacological industry, takes an active part in the clinical development of medicine through healthcare data evaluation, innovative healthcare technologies, improved methodology and clinical experience.

All clinical trials are performed according to the European and Bulgarian legislation requirements and the good clinical practice.

In November 2022, Heart and Brain successfully passed an inspection conducted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) with following assessment: ,,no significant observations, with recognition of the openness of the clinical centre”.
