Petar Petrov, MD graduated in Medicine in 2007. Since 2008 he worked as an ordinator at the Cardiac Surgery Department in St. Anna University Hospital in Sofia. Since 2011 he worked as a cardiac surgeon in the Pontica Ajibadem City Clinic – Burgas. He has specialized in Cardiac Surgery in 2017.

He has followed courses in the Cardiac Surgery Clinic in Heidelberg, Germany, in Leipzig, Germany, and in Hospital La Fe in Valencia, Spain. Dr Petrov has specialized in off pump bypass surgery in Zagreb, Croatia, he has followed an ECACTS course in Bergamo, Italy and an Aortic arthroplasty course. He participated in international and national level congresses and has published in several Bulgarian and foreign editions. He is a member of the European Association of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery and member of the Bulgarian Society of Cardiac Surgery.
