Irina Boeva, MDgastroenterologist

Irina Boeva, MD spent the last year of her medical education at the University Clinic in Dresden, Germany. She obtained her specialty in gastroenterology in 2017 after her specialization at the Tsaritsa Ioanna University Hospital ISUL. For five years she worked as a specialist in the Interventional Gastroenterology team at the Tokuda University Hospital with a focus on endoscopic work. In 2019, she completed a one-month endoscopic course in Berlin, Germany.

Dr. Boeva routinely performs abdominal ultrasonography and ultrasound guided interventions, upper and lower endoscopy and related therapeutic interventions. She is experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of liver diseases, acute and chronic pancreatic diseases, neoplastic and inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. He also performs nutrition and dietetic consultations for various conditions.

Her research interests include chronic inflammatory bowel diseases – Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis and pancreatic diseases.

Over the years she has co-authored a number of publications in Bulgarian and international journals and forums. He is a member of the European Union of Gastroenterology (UEG), the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE) and the European Federation of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (EFSUMB).

Since January 2022 she has been part of Dr. Veselin Stoitsov’s team at the Department of Gastroenterology at the Heart and Brain Center of Clinical Excellence in Burgas.
