The state-of-the-art medical complex operates a round-the-clock emergency department that admits patients in critical condition and provides treatment at an exceptionally high level.\u00a0Thanks to rapid response, modern equipment, and excellent coordination among specialists from different fields, even the most complex cases are given a chance at lif\u0435.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"834\" data-end=\"903\">Rapid Response and Teamwork \u2013 A Life Saved After Aortic Rupture<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"905\" data-end=\"1312\">On <strong data-start=\"908\" data-end=\"922\">October 19<\/strong>, a man was admitted as an emergency case with severe chest and back pain and signs of shock. Within minutes, an echocardiogram and chest CT scan were performed, revealing a life-threatening rupture of the aorta and accumulation of blood around the heart.<br data-start=\"1177\" data-end=\"1180\" \/>Cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and cardiac surgeons immediately formed a <strong data-start=\"1256\" data-end=\"1270\">Heart Team<\/strong> and began preparing for urgent surgery.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1314\" data-end=\"1975\">At <strong data-start=\"1317\" data-end=\"1341\">4 a.m. on October 20<\/strong>, the team led by <strong data-start=\"1359\" data-end=\"1374\">Dr. Yakimov<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1379\" data-end=\"1396\">Dr. Gurkovski<\/strong>, with anesthesiologist <strong data-start=\"1420\" data-end=\"1433\">Dr. Adova<\/strong>, performed a complex operation \u2013 replacement (prosthesis) of the ascending aorta and the aortic arch.<br data-start=\"1535\" data-end=\"1538\" \/>Despite massive bleeding and severe complications, the doctors continued the battle for life with several repeat surgical interventions, multiple blood transfusions, and <strong data-start=\"1708\" data-end=\"1729\">hemodiafiltration<\/strong> (\u201cgentle dialysis\u201d) to stabilize the organs.<br data-start=\"1774\" data-end=\"1777\" \/>After days of intensive care, the patient began breathing independently, his kidney function recovered, and just eight days later he was transferred to the cardiac surgery ward for rehabilitation.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1982\" data-end=\"2048\">Second Life Saved \u2013 Heart Rupture After Massive Heart Attack<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2050\" data-end=\"2345\">Six days later, on <strong data-start=\"2069\" data-end=\"2083\">October 25<\/strong>, another patient was admitted to the emergency center at <strong data-start=\"2141\" data-end=\"2171\">Heart and Brain \u2013 Burgas<\/strong>, transferred from another hospital.<br data-start=\"2207\" data-end=\"2210\" \/>The doctors found that the aorta was intact, but there was a <strong data-start=\"2271\" data-end=\"2300\">rupture of the heart wall<\/strong> caused by a massive myocardial infarction.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2347\" data-end=\"2925\">The patient\u2019s condition rapidly deteriorated, and he went into shock. In the hybrid operating room, the Heart Team \u2014 <strong data-start=\"2464\" data-end=\"2497\">Dr. Yakimov (cardiac surgeon)<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2499\" data-end=\"2532\">Dr. Alexandrov (cardiologist)<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"2538\" data-end=\"2574\">Dr. Chobanova (anesthesiologist)<\/strong> \u2014 performed an invasive assessment, discovering critical blockages in two coronary arteries.
