The Heart and Brain Surgery Department in Burgas is modernly equipped and uses state-of-the-art minimally invasive methods. It employs a team of experienced surgeons with national and international specialization who apply the highest standards of medical care. It diagnoses and treats diseases of the esophagus, stomach, intestines, rectum, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, thyroid gland, and all types of hernias.<\/p>\n

It has a DaVinci X robotic system, the latest generation of laparoscopic equipment, high-frequency devices, and a CUSA ultrasonic destructor.<\/p>\n

Main activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Oncological surgery \u2013 radical and palliative surgery for tumors of the abdominal organs, esophagus, and thyroid gland, in close collaboration with oncologists;
\n– Liver and pancreatic surgery \u2013 resections for primary and metastatic tumors, complex interventions for pancreatic and biliary tract cancer;
\n– Gastrointestinal surgery \u2013 operations for cancer of the esophagus, stomach, colon, and rectum;
\n– Minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery \u2013 cholecystectomies, hernioplasties, stomach and intestine resections, operations on the liver, pancreas, appendix, spleen, adrenal glands. Advantages: less trauma, faster recovery, better cosmetic results.
\n– Robotic surgery \u2013 high precision and safety.
\n– Endocrine surgery \u2013 operations on the thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands.
\n– Hernias \u2013 laparoscopic treatment of inguinal, postoperative, and diaphragmatic hernias.
